3. Water garden.
4. Farmer’s Market?
5. Prep and cook dinner.
6. Definitely wash bed sheets.
7. Do what I can in the kitchen.
8. Pay credit card bills.
9. Watch Olympics/Read Dave Sedaris.

Don’t know where Sunday went. Just seemed to fly by. Finished the to-do list book and read David Sedaris’s Dress Your Family in Corduroy and watched the Olympic games. Major food shopping, highlights included strawberry ice cream and cajun catfish filets. Listed a lot of textbooks I wanted to get rid of. And made slow cooker beef ribs.

For Monday, the tedious work week begins anew!
1. Cereal, milk and vitamins for breakfast. Feed fish. Take cherries to work. Putter around before work.
2. Work. Cherries. Brief breaks outside every two hours to just stand up and breathe.
3. Do bed sheets. Tidy up kitchen.
4. Water garden.
5. Cook a delicious dinner.
6. More David Sedaris and Olympic Games.
7. Change tanks?

A change in the routine today. It’s happening at a good time, I suppose, since I pulled some serious muscles in my back and have been in pain for a couple of days, so I can’t exercise anyways. Traffic school!!! Yay! Can’t bring any books with me. Yay! Or anything else besides a clear bottle of water. Yay! It just reminds me that very often as of late, I feel like a juvenile delinquent stuck in an adult’s body. Always trying to get away with as much as I can.

Sooo…
1. Wake up at 6 am.
2. Report to traffic school. 7:00 am-4:30 pm. Pen and loose sheets of paper.
3. Finally clean out my desk areas and set up a writing spot for next week.
4. Hours in the garden or patio? Depending on how my back feels.

My supervisor puts me in such a foul mood. He’s such an ugly man, soul-wise. Just wanted to make a note of that. While I’m at work, I find myself mentally listing all the reasons he’s a despicable, unlikable person. Worse boss I ever had. ‘Nuff venting.

1. Water garden and breakfast before work.
2. Go to the bank at lunch if we get our paychecks early. If not, then a little shopping break.
3. At work, stretches every 2 hours.
4. Clean off desk and surrounding area today. JUST DO IT!!!
5. Do a load of laundry.

Too much time spent watching the Olympics. Hardly did anything on my list yesterday except for mailing a package. Barely even cooked dinner.

Quick list:
1. Water garden and have breakfast before work. Will be choosing between this and sleep, I’m afraid.
2. Remember to take breaks every two hours at work and bring fruit.
3. Bake chicken and potatoes for dinner. Stir-fry string beans.
4. Change fish tank.
5. Register for traffic school.
6. Pay Verizon bill after work.

Nice! Monday’s over already. Called my sister after work, went to yoga, and had a healthy salmon dinner. I’m pondering doing the biking tour before the LA Marathon, but you have to start at 5:45 am and we have to make our way over there first. That’s a bit daunting. Plus, I haven’t ridden my bike in TWO YEARS.

Tuesday:
1. Water garden, especially the side planter. Survey the front yard after work.
2. Try out America’s test kitchen microwave/baked potato? And baked chicken? Can’t decide what’s for dinner.
3. Clean out desk and surrounding area.
4. Clean up bedroom.
5. Change indoor fish tank.
6. Mail paperback out. Definitely.

Don’t know if I’ll get all of this done today, but definitely will get cracking on some of it.

Artistic Expansion — 1 week ago

aborealis773 added an entry about participate in a 43T Artist's Way Group:

I haven’t worked on this goal in a long while, but I’m not putting it aside, because I do enjoy the creative exercises and the ways in which it encourages people to explore their world and to get out and do things!!!

Not too long ago, I was having a brief conversation with a woman at my office who asked me what I did over the weekend. I said I went to the county fair, and she said, “Well, I suppose my daughter would like it, but who has time to go out and do that? We also have to walk around and be outside.”

Needless to say, I never went out of my way to talk to her again. The response got me a little angry. What kind of life must you be leading if you don’t bother to go outside or walk a little to see the sights? But I’m sure the same woman wouldn’t have a problem watching tv, talking on the phone or using the many technological devices she owns to anestheticize herself in her virtual world.

Putting aside $200 — 1 week ago

aborealis773 added an entry about save money to buy a new heater:

I’m working again. The pay isn’t great, but I’m putting aside $200 each month to save for this heater so we can replace our old one and get all the asbestos cleaned out. I think I’ll also add whatever extra money is left over into this account, so that we can get it faster and I can finally stop thinking about this goal.
